Offer
protection for children during visitations and monitored events,
and preserve a child’s rights through accurate reporting
and integrity.
Child Access Services acts as an advocate for children during
volatile family court actions. Our hope is that the families we
work with will eventually become healthy enough not to need our
services. We believe that through intervention, modeling, and behavioral
methods, parents and their children can overcome this difficult
period. It is during this journey we provide safe, monitored
interactions with children and their court-involved parents.
Our standards:
- Provide professional service
- Only report the facts, and provide scheduled reportings to
the court
- Stand firm in our commitment to the safety of the child
- Commence services one week after the last intake interview
- Provide a vehicle to reduce the psychological harm done to
the child
- Only postgraduate mental health practitioners conduct visitation
and exchange cases
- Assign a practitioner who remains with the same family from
inception until completion
- The amount of time for visitations are not limited unless court
ordered
Our difference:
| Familiarity - |
The same case adviser for the duration of the
case. |
| Flexibility - |
Our case advisers will come out to most any locations that
the client wants the visitation to take place. |
| Experience - |
Only postgraduate mental health practitioners supervise visits
and monitored exchanges. |
Child Access Services provides its services off-site, allowing
for comfortable and natural family interactions. We believe
that performing services in this way gives the most accurate picture
for us to observe parents and children interactions, and to foster
healthy interactions in common settings. Off-site visitations may
occur in parks or other public locations. Monitored exchanges take
place at designated locations.
Our case advisers are postgraduate, trained and experienced mental
health practitioners who facilitate services in order to ensure
that the parents will receive help in improving parenting skills,
learning appropriate play behavior and help in developing positive
relationships with their children.
Child Access Services is a member of the Supervised Visitation
Network, an association dedicated to the education, development
of disseminating standards of practice and support of access providing
agencies.
